In between seasons, there are different ways to boost immunity and support our spirits in being comfortable in our bodies. According to Chinese medicine, Autumn season is time to “let go.” (Think of movie/book “waiting to exhale”)
The organs associated with this season are lungs and large intestine. The energies are cool and spacious. In Ayurveda, this is also VATA season. VATA in the body is also related to air and wind and the space in the organs. In both Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, we often address our health needs by providing opposites to create balance.
Warming and grounding helps us to keep our bodies eliminating in a healthy way, while letting go. of that we do not need.
